KONTUREX
Always on the ball with us
More than 50 years ago we built the first contour cutting machines that cut molded parts from porous materials with a cutting wire developed by us.
We were already leading the way back then and revolutionized the machine cutting process, which is still the worldwide standard for cutting porous materials today. In our machines, the cutting wire runs in special impellers that are made of elastomer plastic and are electronically balanced.
This enables speeds of over 300 kilometers per hour to be achieved. In contrast to "glow wire", our cutting wire cuts cold and can also easily cut materials that are not thermoplastics, i.e. non-meltable. This means that porous materials, whether soft or hard, can be cut into any two-dimensional shapes or plates.
Materials of this type are, for example, soft and rigid foams based on PU, EPS, PE, melamine, phenolic resin, upholstery wadding; inorganic substances such as mineral and glass wool as well as glass foam. We have already manufactured over 1000 machines that are in use worldwide and look forward to your inquiry.
